The Pakistani government has announced that on the death of the Queen of Great Britain, to express solidarity with the government and the people. Pakistan will celebrate the day of mourning on September 12.
Earlier, Pakistan's Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif wrote a condolence letter on the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif wrote in a condolence letter to British Prime Minister Liz Truss that Queen Elizabeth II dedicated her life to selfless public service and her dignified presence was a source of strength for the people of Great Britain.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that Queen Elizabeth played a key role in positive changes in the world during her reign.

Under Queen Elizabeth II's earnest and tireless watch, the Commonwealth has become the most substantial organization of independent nations worldwide. Despite her long service in protecting public services, Queen Elizabeth's personality and presence became a symbol of the strength of the United Kingdom and the world.
Recalling the visit of Queen Elizabeth II to Pakistan, the Prime Minister of Pakistan said that with the passage of time, the relationship between the people of Pakistan and the Queen of Great Britain became stronger.
The Prime Minister said that "in this hour of difficulty, all the sympathies of the entire Pakistani nation, including me, are with the British royal family, the British government, and the British people."
The British High Commissioner welcomed the Prime Minister on his arrival in Islamabad. He paid tribute to the services of Queen Elizabeth II and recorded his comments in the condolence book kept at the High Commission.
